About

Learn more about me

Hello,

My name is Panagiotis (Panos) Triantafyllidis. I am from Greece, and I came in the UK in 2018 for my undergraduate in BSc Business Computing and IT which I graduated with Honours. During that degree, I got my first introduction in Information and Software Security, which became a focus of interest in the upcoming years.

After my graduation in 2022, I went to the Hellenic military for my mandatory service, under which I served in the IT department of the Hellenic Airforce, due to my degree qualifications. During my time there I was assigned in an IT Security post, where I worked as a Sysadmin and received further exposure in domains of Cyber and Software security.

In September 2024, I completed my studies in MSc Advanced Computer Science at the University of Manchester, with a Computer Security specialisation. I submitted my dissertation on "Intrusion Detection in a Foreign Domain" in which I developed a Hybrid Network Intrusion Detection System (HNIDS) and its available to view here or by pressing the button above.

My curiosity and interactions I had thus far with this domain, had given me an interest to pursue a career in a CS/IT security-related role ( or at least learn how to do so in the process), ideally in Greece or in the UK.

I am currently looking for opportunities to start my career in the field of IT and Cyber Security.
